To the graduates of 2012, my congratulations to you and your respective families!
After having hurdled all the requirements and challenges relative to your academic program, you successfully have obtained your long-time dream -- earning your collegiate degree or diploma.
You owe your success primarily to your family especially your parents whose sacrifices and unconditional support were instrumental to the right direction you traversed during your studies. Similarly, you owe it to your dynamic and competitive mentors whose moral support, motivation, and knowledge shared with you contributed greatly to your steadfast commitment to become excellent in your academic endeavors. Also, you owe your success to yourself. You did a great job in following your vision of acquiring your coveted diploma just as you were earnest in pursuing the vision of 91ÊÓÆµÎÛÎÛ-Iligan Institute of 91ÊÓÆµÎÛÎÛ through the institute core values you learned-Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity, and Accountability (CETIA).
I am certain that you will heed these values as you leave the portals of your alma mater. Witness these values in whatever endeavors you will do and wherever you will go. Keep in mind that apart from the cognitive gains you made, your multi-faceted experiences in college and values you learned shall endow you with the right character necessary for gaining employment, locally or internationally. There will be challenges along the way but be determined and confident that you will survive because you are armed with the holistic education given by this institution.
Thus, I am cognizant of the success you will soon reap as you enter the world of work. Let the virtue of humility however rule your life, no matter how significantly you feel about your success. Also, do not be motivated by economic gains, recognition and awards but by the contributions you have given to the society across borders. This I am sure will make you happy.
